At Kensington Town Hall
As the hours go on a vote counter in Kensington Town Hall finds a moment to have a quick power nap.

At Kensington Town Hall
I’m at Kensington Town Hall where votes are being counted for the Kensington and Bayswater constituency. It’s the most marginal seat in the capital.
It’s held by Conservative Felicity Buchan. In 2019 the Tories won by only 150 votes. But the Labour candidate Joe Powell is expecting to win today.
Like many London constituencies, Kensington and Bayswater has huge contrasts between rich and poor. There’s the more affluent neighbourhoods in the South and the poorer parts in the North.
This is of course where the Grenfell Tower fire took place and that disaster has hung over politics in this area ever since.

Reporting from Harrow
There's been drama at the Harrow count where campaigners for Pamela Fitzpatrick, an independent candidate in Harrow West have been arguing with Labour campaigners.
People on the ground tell me there's been animosity between the two camps throughout the campaign locally here in Harrow.
Security came to split things up but there does feel like tension in the room tonight with Labour now at one side of the room and Pamela Fitzpatrick and her supporters at the other.
Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn wins his seat as an independent with 24,120 votes.
He's been an MP in Islington for more than 40 years.
He was blocked from standing for Labour by the party's governing body after being suspended as a Labour MP in 2020 for his response to a report into antisemitism in the party.
Labour's Praful Nargund trailed Corbyn by about 8,000 votes.

Reporting from Bromley
With a large grin that we could spot from across the room, we speak to a "quietly confident" Reform UK candidate for Bromley and Biggin Hill, Alan Cook at the count in Bromley.
They say they’ve managed to tap into the youth vote, which they believe is having a real impact.
“The response in the last two weeks has been overwhelming,” says Cook.“The response has changed from being ‘I’m voting for you’ to being ‘my whole office is voting for you, my family, my club’
“There’s been a sea change in people’s mindsets. We’re more a movement now more than just a political party."
“We’ve captured the youth as well," he adds.
Cook says it is more than Nigel Farage's stint in the I'm a Celebrity jungle that has improved the party's youth appeal.
"It’s the youth realising that we are the anti-establishment party. We’re rebelling against the left this ideology that’s been rammed down their throats," he says
Iain Duncan Smith is re-elected, after a lot of speculation that he could lose.
He only had a lead of three percentage points (or 1,604 votes) going into tonight.
But he's increased that majority to 4,758, with Labour's Shama Tatler losing out by around 5,000 votes.
In his victory speech, Sir Ed Davey speaks about his caring experience, which he regularly referred to on the campaign trail.
"I've shared my own caring story during this campaign and I've been overwhelmed by the response, especially from fellow carers," the Lib Dem leader says.
"And I'm grateful that we've been able to bring caring out of the shadows in this campaign, and we will continue to stand up for a society where we value care and properly support carers because we cannot afford not to."
Sir Ed also thanks his "wonderful family," adding: "Emily, I love you and I could not have done this without you. Ellie and John, I love you so much."
