    Western Morning News

The Western Morning News, external runs an opinion piece under the headline: West helped Tories win the election. Now we want our reward.

But they were right and the pundits - including, we have to admit, the WMN at times - were wrong. David Cameron's policy - or perhaps it was his campaign chief Lynton Crosby - of going in hard against the Lib Dems, with whom he had shared Government for five years, proved decisive.
