Alan Mak held for the Conservatives with 23,159 votes, but the Lib Dems' share of the vote fell by nearly 17%.
UKIP came second, winning 9,239 votes.

Turnout of the Isle of Wight was 64.7% which is up 0.8% on 2010.

More on the appearance of suspended UKIP candidate Robert Blay at the count in North East Hampshire.
Mr Blay said he had been told not to comment by UKIP on footage appearing to show him threatening to shoot his Tory rival.
"I want to get my country back. I think UKIP is the best way to do that," he said.
The counting staff have begun work in Fareham.
