    Tory Mims Davies has snatched Eastleigh from the Liberal Democrats, winning 23,464 votes.

    Mike Thornton - who held the seat at a by-election in 2011 - secured 14,317 votes, with UKIP beaten into third place.

    UKIP had been in second place in the by-election called after the resignation of Chris Huhne.
