A campaign aide to Hillary Clinton discussed her preparations:
- After joining President Obama for a surprise appearance on stage to end Wednesday night's festivities, Mrs Clinton returned to work on her acceptance speech for tonight. It is not yet complete, and Clinton is expected to continue working on it throughout today.
- She began thinking about the speech several weeks ago, and has been sending ideas and suggestions to her aides at various points in the drafting process.
- Mrs Clinton's speech is expected to draw upon the principle that has driven her throughout her career - that America is at its best when everyone has the chance to fulfil their God-given potential. To show the constancy of this theme in her life, she is expected to invoke her 1992 book, "It Takes a Village," which was in many ways the forerunner to her 2016 theme "Stronger Together."

While supporters of Bernie Sanders are a very vocal minority on the convention floor, thousands of delegates and party members are with her - Hillary Clinton that is. Mrs Clinton's often quiet supporters are speaking out now that their candidate is ready to accept the nomination.
"It would be impossible for me to dampen my enthusiasm for her, because I have loved her for so long," said Bettina Hager of Washington. "The fact that she's able to run for the presidency after being in the public eye for so long says a lot about her character."
The BBC's Ashley Gold spoke to some of Mrs Clinton's most die-hard supporters in Philadelphia.

After a series of speeches by the heavyweights of the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton will close out the Democratic National Convention with arguably the biggest speech of her life.
She's tasked with winning over an American public, large parts of which have yet to be sold on her trustworthiness, partly due to a recent scandal. An FBI investigation found she was "extremely careless" with classified material when she used a private email account while serving as secretary of state.
Meanwhile, her Republican opponent Donald Trump is on the defensive, explaining earlier comments where he encouraged Russia hackers to infiltrate Mrs Clinton's email. Mr Trump said he was being "sarcastic".
