You might not have heard much of the Kanye West song, with ITV having to mute the sound almost every 10 seconds... but, for some fans, it was the first chance to hear a song they've been hankering after for two years.
West first talked about All Day in a 2013 GQ interview, saying it had the ferocious intensity of a Jay-Z track, "but Jay's not on there".
Whether the Brit Awards was the right place to premiere such a dark, inscrutable track is another matter... but West has never been one to compromise.
Brit Award veterans Take That are the next act to take the stage, their first time performing as a three piece at the event.
Pharrell appeared by video link waving his Brit and said: "I appreciate you guys, your great nation, for turning the song [Happy] into what it's become. It means the world so it's an honour for me to hold this."

After handing Sam Smith his award, Kim Kardashian told the arena: "I want everyone to get on their feet and welcome my husband, Kanye West."
It must have been pretty sweary, as anyone watching the ITV broadcast didn't hear much in between the bursts of flamethrowers on stage. And was he saying "I love Zane Lowe" at the end?
"Oh my gosh, since I was a little kid I dreamed of people all over the world singing my songs and although I've got a long way to go, this shows that I'm stepping in the right direction. So thank you to all my fans."

Taylor Swift's just come backstage with her Brit Award.
"I'm too excited," she told the press. "I need to calm down."
The US star talked again about her slow build success in the UK saying: "I started out playing King's College and eight years later I'm getting ready to play Hyde Park. It's like... What?"
She added: "I can't believe all the things I have to do tonight are over and now I get to hang out.
"Ed Sheeran's about to play so I'm going to run."
And run she did.
Paloma Faith was fighting back tears as she accepted her Brit, third time lucky after being nominated in 2011 and 2013.
"I'm so moved! It's been a long time coming. It's taken me 14 years to stand up here and accept this award and it means so much to me."
She apologised for not doing a short speech and rambling on, before ending with: "I want to dedicate this to all the underdogs and all the grafters."
Ed Sheeran has taken to the stage to perform his new track, Bloodstream.

Ellie Goulding announced "Someone I'm so proud to call my friend - Taylor Swift" as the winner of best international female.
"Oh my god, wow," said Taylor on stage. "I've been coming to England and playing shows for eight years and this is my first Brit Award, I'm so happy."
"Honestly I know I wouldn't be up here if it wasn't for one of my best friends, who took me to pubs and taught me to make a cup of tea. Ed Sheeran! And my other British friends Cara (Delevingne) and Ellie (Goulding) and Sam (Smith).
"I'm very lucky to have them in my life. I'm very lucky to have my British fans - I love you and I'm very lucky to have my first Brit Award, thank you."
No sign of a stage storm from Kanye either, who seemed to have stayed in his seat.

The neon signs dressing the O2 Arena carry the same quotes as the ones Tracey Emin scribbled all over this year's Brits trophy.
They read: "Congratulations on your talent, on your life. On everything you give to others. Thank you."
