So she didn't need her loser face after all...

Clearly surprised, the singer started crying in her seat when her name was read out and needed a bit of help to get on stage.

    Quote Message

I feel like Cher in Moonstruck right now. It's one of the greatest moments of my life. I have to thank [creator] Ryan Murphy - you’re a wonderful human being and you’ve believed in me so much. Thanks to the cast - because of you I was able to shine, so thank you for sharing your talent with me. I wanted to be an actress before I was a singer, but music worked out first. I’m truly speechless.

Organisers must have thought the actor wasn't going to win the award as he was seated quite far away from the stage and had a long walk to accept his gong.

It seemed Bernal also hadn't rated his chances either.

"Just to be clear... I'm NOT Eva Mendes," said Longoria, "And I'm NOT Gina Rodriguez," added Ferrera.
