    Britain's own Ricky Gervais is back to host the Golden Globes for the fourth time. He last appeared as host in 2012 - when he attracted controversy for some of his more colourful comments about the assembled Hollywood glitterati.

    Speaking on the red carpet, he joked he was "looking forward to it being over.. and getting drunk".

    He said broadcaster NBC had said he could "say what I want..." 

    "I don't think they know what that means exactly, but I won't break any laws," he added.
