  1. Best actress in a TV series, musical or comedy - Rachel Bloom, Crazy Ex-Girlfriendpublished at 01:22

An over-excited Rachel Bloom thanked everybody she could think of... she may have had a glass of wine.

"We almost didn't have a show," she said, explaining how the pilot eventually came to air. "We got six rejections in one day!"

  2. Best supporting actress, series, mini-series or motion picture made for TV - Maura Tierney, The Affairpublished at 01:15

"This is very exciting. This category is very flattering because there’s a huge amount of actresses and excellent work and I‘m so glad to be part of it," Tierney said.

Speaking of her British co-star Dominic West, she said: "He should have his own category for best performance by an actor for a character where every woman hates him."

  3. Winslet 'prouder than ever'published at 01:11

First award of the night goes to a Brit - one that's almost guaranteed to swear, and cry.

The British star, who won the award for her role as Steve Jobs' assistant, said she was "surprised and overwhelmed".

"Is this really happening?" said Winslet.

She said it was "an incredible year for women in film" and she was "prouder than ever to be included".

Cue long list of thank yous, band strikes up, etc, etc

Give her her dues, she didn't swear or cry (just)...

  5. Ricky's advice to the audiencepublished at 01:08

"No one cares about that award as much as you do.

    "Don't get emotional it's embarrassing.

"That award is worthless. It's just a piece of metal, some nice old confused journalist wanted to give you, so they could meet you in person and take a selfie with you."

  6. Ricky on formpublished at 01:05

Ricky is on the podium, with a pint of beer in front of him.

"Relax I am going to try and be nice," he said.

"I'm going to do this monologue and then go into hiding -  not even Sean Penn will be able to find me."

"I've changed," he added. "Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously".

Looks like Ricky is on form.

  8. Lady Gaga's prayerpublished at 01:01

Unlike Matt Damon, Lady Gaga - nominated for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel confessed to having a glass of wine, a cigarette and saying a prayer on her way to the Globes.

We'll be watching her for her loser face later...

  9. Damon leaving early for Las Vegaspublished at 00:59

The Golden Globes are known for their more free-wheeling atmosphere. The first major awards of the film season is typically unpredictable, irreverant and - dare we say it - a little alcoholic... take it from Matt Damon, who credited the jovial nature of the awards to "a lot of table wine".

Unfortunately, it seems Matt - who is nominated for his role in The Martian - won't be joining the annual booze up, as he is leaving straight after the awards for Las Vegas, where he is filming the latest Jason Bourne movie.

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.
