    Four schools in the Black Country have been given the all clear by police after receiving bomb scare calls this morning.

    Bristnall Hall, Oldbury Academy and Holly Lodge in Sandwell were all evacuated. Leasowes School in Halesowen was also affected but not evacuated. 

    West Midlands Police said it was still investigating who made the calls.

    David Thorne said he thought it could be mini movements of the earth which causes vibrations and the humming sound.

    Riley Blaker, from Weymouth, has been given months to live but he will now receive pioneering treatment, not available on the NHS, which could prolong his life.

    Avon and Somerset Police say four bomb hoaxes at schools in Bristol are not linked to the bomb scare calls which affected four schools in the West Midlands this morning.

    The police force won't say which schools were involved but two were evacuated with the other two remaining open.

    A council in the West Midlands has opened a rest centre for those pupils affected by the school bomb threats who are unable to get home. 

    Sandwell Council said the Harry Mitchell Centre in Broomfield, Smethwick, has been opened for children, external who have had to leave school and aren’t able to get home.Youth workers have also been deployed in the area to assist any children getting home or to the Harry Mitchell Centre.

    Four schools in the West Midlands have been affected by bomb scare calls.

    Sandwell Council has released a statement saying it is working with police.

    The council said: "There is no suggestion of any other threat to other schools in Sandwell. 

    "Parents are being reassured everything is being done to ensure the safety of the children and there is no reason to panic."
