A woman has described to a court how she "felt sick" when told that a man had been tied up and beaten by her boyfriend and his friend.
Atul Shah, 47, was found dead in his home in Crescent Road, Luton, with a catalogue of injuries.
Corrina Armstrong, 21, told Luton Crown Court how she questioned Kyle Pitchford-Price and Luke West after she'd been left for an hour as they were "buying weed", but returned with blood on their clothes.
"I said what's going on, what's going on, but I didn't get any reaction." She said they all then walked back to co-defendant Brian Edge's home. The 56-year-old is on trial for doing an act tending or intended to pervert the course of public justice.
"I asked them what had happened and they said someone had been beaten up. I started to panic - there was no need to do something like that," she told the court.
She said at the house, her boyfriend and Mr West removed their clothes and trainers, and put them in a black bag.
Miss Armstrong said Mr Pitchford-Price told her "he did tie him up" and that she "didn't know what to do".
She said the two were then taken home by taxi.
The case continues.
A woman said to have been part of a group that targeted a man in his home for his drugs and money, sobbed as she told Luton Crown Court how her boyfriend came up to her with his hoodie stained with blood.
Atul Shah, 47, was found dead in Crescent Road, Luton, on 6 January, having been beaten, allegedly with an exercise dumbbell.
Corrina Armstrong, of Dovehouse Hill, Luton, was living with one of the men accused of murdering Mr Shah, Kyle Pitchford-Price, when they spent the night with two other men drinking and taking drugs.
The 21-year-old told the jury how she waited in a street near Mr Shah's flat while her boyfriend and Luke West, also on trial for murder, went to "buy weed".
She said when the pair came back after an hour "they didn't look too good", adding there was blood on both of their clothes.
Miss Armstrong pleads not guilty to conspiracy to rob Mr Shah. Mr Pitchford-Price and Mr West plead not guilty to murder, but Mr West pleads guilty to manslaughter.
