    People have travelled from not just all over the country, but from all over the world to be here at the annual Armistice service at the National Memorial Arboretum.

    Joining them will be senior military personnel, Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant as well as HRH Prince Harry. 

    Although there are thousands here, there's a real sense of peace, tranquility and undoubtedly, pride from those in attendance.

    A 15-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed at school yesterday afternoon.

    Three teenagers are in police custody on suspicion of attempted murder.               

    I understand the 15-year-old was outside the school when his attackers spotted him.

    He ran into what he would have thought was relative safety, the attackers followed and he was repeatedly stabbed.

    A woman has died after she was hit by a vehicle in the early hours of this morning, police say.

    It happened on Sutton New Road, near Erdington High Street, Birmingham, at about 03:45. 

    Police say officers, external were called to reports that a woman had collapsed in the road.

    The family of the woman - believed to be in her thirties - has been informed. 

    The road will be closed this morning while officers continue their investigations.

    A third teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the stabbing of a boy at school. 

    The 15-year-old victim was left with serious injuries when he was attacked at City of Birmingham School in Erdington yesterday afternoon.

    Police said yesterday two boys aged 16 and 17 were arrested in connection with the attack on the student, who is in a serious but stable condition. They remain in police custody.

    The third teenager to be arrested is a 16-year-old boy.

    A 15-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed at school.

    Police said, external the stabbing happened at City of Birmingham School, Erdington, just after 13:30 when a group of people entered the site. The wounded pupil is in a stable condition.

    He was outside the school, the West Midlands Force said, when he saw two people who chased him back inside.

    Many of us here at Midlands Today go a little misty eyed when we think of our former home at Pebble Mill.

    For 33 years thousands of hugely popular programmes were made there. 

    It was demolished when the BBC moved to the Mailbox in 2004 and there's little to remember Pebble Mill now.

    Tim Sherwood has been appointed director of football at struggling League One club Swindon Town.

    The former Tottenham manager, 47, has been without a job since being sacked by Aston Villa in October 2015.

    In his eight months in charge at Aston Villa, Sherwood reached the FA Cup final before he was sacked with the club bottom of the top flight.

    The number of cases of bed blocking in Midlands hospitals has risen dramatically in the last year.

    That's when patients are ready to leave hospital but can't because the follow-up care they need is unavailable.

    More than 26,300 days of delays were recorded by NHS trusts in the region in September - a 44% rise on the same month in 2015. 

    The highest increases were in the Dudley Group and University Hospitals of North Midlands.

    A support service for victims of domestic violence from the LGBT community in Birmingham will be able to continue past its pilot period.
