    Ten suspected illegal immigrants have been treated by ambulance crews after being found in the back of a refrigerated lorry. 

    The HGV was seen travelling along the M6 northbound before police guided it onto a retail park in Wednesbury and opened the doors. 

    Twelve people are currently under arrest -  ten on suspicion of illegally entering the UK and two others on suspicion of facilitating entry to the UK.

    Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock says he was "disappointed" he did not get a call from Aston Villa over their managerial vacancy in the summer.

    Villa instead appointing Roberto Di Matteo and sacked him after just 12 games in charge.

    Warnock also believes current Villa manager Steve Bruce should have got the England job.

    The Bluebirds visit Villa Park this weekend.

    A cyclist is being treated for serious injuries after a crash involving a lorry in Birmingham this morning.

    West Midlands Police says officers were called to Bristol Road at about 10:30.

    A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said the man, believed to be a teenager, was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his legs and pelvis. 

    The road is closed in both directions between the Belgrave Middleway junction and the Speedwell Road junction.

    A refrigerated lorry was pulled off the M6 northbound by police yesterday after a driver reported seeing arms hanging out of the back, in apparent calls for help.

    Central Motorway Police Group pulled the HGV on to the car park of Costa, at Gallagher Retail Park in Axletree Way, Wednesbury, on Thursday at about 17:30.

    Paramedics and a hazardous area response team were sent and treated 10 people in the back of the lorry, believed to be illegal immigrants.

    The driver of the HGV and co-driver were arrested on suspicion of facilitating entry to the UK, according to West Midlands Police.

    Ten people have been discovered in the back of a refrigerated lorry near the M6 in the West Midlands.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service treated the people, aged between 16 and 26, near Gallagher Retail Park, in Axletree Way, Wednesbury, at about 17:30 on Thursday.

    Nine people were discharged at the scene. The tenth was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital after fainting.
