He has a good pedigree, managing big European clubs like Porto and Valencia as well as coaching in the Champions League; a CV that impressed the fans I spoke to at the stadium earlier.

  13. #GetsMyVote: Brexit worriespublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 1 June 2017

In the run-up to the general election on 8 June, we're asking people across the country to tell us what #GetsMyVote.

    Tara Gahir

For Tara Gahir, who runs Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in Birmingham's Great Western Arcade, Brexit is the issue that matters most and she hopes to see a fair trade deal negotiated.

The 47-year-old married mother-of-two, from Dorridge, Solihull, voted Remain and said she wished Brexit "wasn't happening".

She wants to see a deal that "needs to be fair to Europe, as Europe needs to be fair to us".

And Mrs Gahir said she had already seen the impact of Brexit on her own business.

"The prices of things like our Belgian chocolates have already gone up. I've swallowed that cost so far and not passed it on to the customer because I'm too scared, so to get a fair trade deal is massive.

"If business rates go up, and taxes on things like sugar, it's going to make places like me close, I can't see how I would be able to sustain the overheads."
