    It follows the Prime Minister's appearance in her first TV debate of the campaign last night in which she faced questions from a studio audience.

    Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn also took part in the programme.

    Wolverhampton Wanderers has thanked manager Paul Lambert for his "dedication and professionalism" during his seven-month spell in charge.

    It follows the club's decision, external to part company with the 47-year-old, who is the fourth of Wolves' last six first-team bosses to last less than a year at Molineux.

    His role had been in doubt since the end of the Championship season over a dispute about who has the final say on signing players.

    Wolves say a further announcement on a new Head Coach and backroom team will be made in due course.

    Disciplinary hearings against five teachers accused of being part of the so-called "Trojan Horse" plot have been dropped after key evidence was deemed to have been "deliberately withheld".

    A panel has decided that the integrity of the hearings had been called into disrepute after the National College for Teaching and Education failed to disclose 25 statements that were used within an earlier inquiry.

    The plot concerned an attempt to introduce a hard line Islamic agenda into over twenty Birmingham schools.

    A woman who became infertile after beating cancer three times has given birth to a baby girl after freezing her eggs as a teenager.

    Alannah Roberts, from Stourbridge, was just 17 when she had her eggs frozen before undergoing gruelling radiotherapy which made her infertile.

    Now aged 30, Alannah says she wants more families to have the same chance at parenthood after giving birth to Faith eight months ago.

    A teenage boy has been charged after a fire in a Sainsbury's toilets led to the store being evacuated.

    Wolves are expected to confirm today that they have sacked their head coach Paul Lambert.

    Nuno Espirito Santo, who recently left his role at Porto, is his likely replacement.

    Lambert's departure has been expected since shortly after the end of the season but the club is yet to comment on all the speculation.

    Policing is returning to normal in the West Midlands, but the force says there is still a continuing need for vigilance.

    There will be a gradual change in the way officers are deployed over the coming week.

    Over the weekend UK intelligence chiefs reduced the threat level from "critical" to "severe" in the aftermath of the boming at Manchester Arena which killed 22 people.

    Assistant Chief Constable Gary Cann said a range of patrol measures will continue "to reassure and protect the public" and urged people across the West Midlands to "stay switched on".
