    A D-Day veteran who's blind is to receive a set of replacement medals today after he lost his original ones at a motorway service station on the M6 near Walsall.

    They went missing as Alfred Barlow, 96, returned home from a trip to Normandy last month.

    The actor, Hugh Grant, had offered a £1,000 reward to anyone who could reunite Alfred with his medals.

    The mayor of the West Midlands has officially launched his mission to bring broadcaster Channel 4 to the region.

    Channel 4, currently based in London, could move outside the capital after the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport launched a consultation., external

    West Midlands metro mayor Andy Street has been talking about the channel moving its headquarters to the area, whether that be Birmingham or Coventry - as both cities bid to host the media channel.
