Today there's a cabinet meeting, external with the nine of the most senior Birmingham councillors.
They will vote on that public report into the waste management changes that caused such an hullabaloo a few weeks ago - saying the council has to sack these binmen or it risks financial ruin.
This is the report that backed John Clancy into a corner in the first place - he had this vote deferred because of what it means for the strike.
It looks likely to pass with no problems, though there are likely to be more questions raised today though.
This of course doesn't solve the bin problem straight away, with many people getting their bins emptied every four weeks for wheelie bins and every two weeks if you have black bags - as refuse workers continue their industrial action.
The strike is on until 21 September and we find out the results of a new Unite ballot very soon, which could mean the strike is extended.
Tomorrow there is a high court case which Unite have brought - saying their is proof of a deal.
The Victorian Society says the buildings will be "lost forever unless urgent action is taken".

The grade II listed building, which can be seen from the M5 viaduct, is under threat after being "left to deteriorate to a shocking degree".
Quote MessageThe site is currently held by a skip hire company, a totally unsuitable operation for such a historically important site. A more sensitive approach must be urgently adopted to preserve the significant heritage of this scheduled ancient monument with its collection of listed buildings
