    The University of Wolverhampton said it will be working with the National Counter Terrorism Unit and NHS to deliver the Prevent training as part of the curriculum, external.

    It's the first university to provide this training to students before they go into health-related placements.

    Steve Baggott, from the university, said after training students will be able to recognise "the vulnerabilities that could leave people susceptible to radicalisation."

    There are calls for new fire safety tests to be carried out on doors in Stoke-on-Trent tower blocks, after one of them was found to be deficient.

    Independent experts were brought in after four tenants of Southern Court in Penkhull refused to have new fire doors fitted, saying their 40-year-old doors were safer.

    Their old doors failed fire safety tests, but so did a new door in an adjacent block.

    Stoke-on-Trent City Council says it will replace the new door, but some residents says every door should be re-tested to make sure they're safe.

    The FA Cup match at Edgar Street between Hereford FC's and AFC Telford United tomorrow is sold out and Telford defender Aaron Simpson says its a chance for some players to put themselves in the shop window.

    He is one of a number of footballers on loan at the Bucks Head from Wolves and he joined the Championship club after impressing in a cup run with Maidstone United.

    But he says the players are feeling "positive" and the main focus will be on getting the win.

    A man in his 90s and a woman in her 80s have been robbed in their homes in the village of Ellerdine in Shropshire and the police believe the incidents may be linked.

    The first robbery took place around at 10:30 Tuesday on Heath Lane after the 90-year-old let a man into his home. He later found his wallet had gone.

    Yesterday, a woman in her 80s discovered an unknown man in her home and later realised that her purse had gone.

    More than 5,000 bicycle thefts have been investigated by West Mercia Police over the past five years.

    But police figures, external show that in two thirds of those cases, no suspect was ever found.

    Cannabis worth an estimated £60,000 was found when police raided a house in Telford.
