    Two patients have been treated at the scene after the collision on Frankley Beaches Road, close to the junction of Sir Herbert Austin Way shortly before 11:30.

  4. Tuberculosis case confirmed at schoolpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2017

    A case of tuberculosis has been confirmed at a school in Worcester.

    The affected pupil at Nunnery Wood High School "is receiving treatment and responding well", a statement from Public Health England said.

    "Since starting treatment the person has not been into the school and will not return until there is no risk of infection to others," it added.

    Following the diagnosis, Public Health England says there is no risk to children or staff at the school on Spetchley Road.

    As a precaution, it's screening students and staff who were in contact with them before they were diagnosed.

    A councillor has voluntarily stepped down from a senior role in Sandwell, after allegedly sending lewd messages about female colleagues to an online blogger.

    Richard Marshall is the subject of an inquiry by the Labour party, after the messages, which appear to have been sent from his phone, appeared online.

    He said he wanted the matter "thoroughly and independently" investigated.

    Mr Marshall said the local authority had a proper standards process "unlike parliament" and he had self-referred the complaint to the monitoring officer.

    Sandwell Council Leader Steve Eling said all complaints were "taken seriously".

    One lane has now reopened past the car fire on the M6 between junctions 15 and 14 on the southbound side.

    Staffordshire Fire Service says crews found the vehicle was "well alight" when they arrived.

    The trial of a man accused of killing his two young children at their home has been adjourned until later this week.

    Endris Mohammed is alleged to have smothered eight-year-old Saros Endris and his sister, Leanor Endris, six, at the family's property in Holland Road, Hamstead, Birmingham.

    The children's bodies were found after a house fire in October 2016.

    Small pottery producers across Stoke-on-Trent are reporting an increase in sales, helping to boost the area's ceramic industry.

    Their success is attracting a growing number of artisan firms to set up in the city.

    Despite that, there are now fewer than 9,000 potters employed in Stoke-on-Trent - according to the organisers of local festival the British Ceramics Biennial, compared with about 60,000 in the 1950s.

    Four men are to stand trial after denying putting up stickers supporting a banned far-right extremist group at a university campus.

    All four entered not guilty pleas at Birmingham Crown Court today after being accused of displaying offensive material likely to stir up racial hatred after National Action-branded labels were discovered at Aston University last year.

    A trial date has been set for 3 April 2018.

    TV series Ambulance followed crews responding to 999 calls across the region.

    Now an advert to recruit and train new medics has been viewed almost 19,000 - three times more than the previous one released by the trust.

    Fire crews are still at a farm in Staffordshire where 300 tonnes of wood chip went up in flames at the weekend. , external

    Staffordshire Fire Service was called to Mill Farm on Stone Road, Eccleshall just before 02:00 on Saturday and had five fire engines there at its height.

    They say they haven't been able to discover what caused the blaze as they are still pumping water on to the site as they damp it down, external.

    Passengers have been allowed back into Shrewsbury Railway Station after a train fire forced the site to be evacuated.
