Keepers at Dudley Zoo have issued an appeal for people to bring in unwanted bottles of perfume or aftershave - not for themselves, but for the animals.
The scents get sprayed on scratching posts and climbing frames to help stimulate the animals, the zoo said.
"When they smell this it encourages happy hormones," said assistant curator Jay Haywood. "They get very excited by it".
"We have one particular tiger with very expensive tastes, but for most of the animals any brand will do," he added.

Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst says the wave of sickness going through his squad at the moment is the worst he's encountered.
And he added the players have to be very careful not to take any cold remedies which contain drugs the Football Association doesn't approve of, saying "it's amazing what's on the banned list".
Hurst said the players have to make sure they drink enough and try to give themselves as much energy as possible.
Quote MessageWe won't be the only club, but at the minute I must admit it's probably the worst I've encountered in terms of how it seems to have affected so many people."
