    The Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Hurst says he's had no contact from Championship club Ipswich about their vacant manager's job.

    Hurst has been linked , externalwith taking over the role following Mick McCarthy's departure last month.

    But the Town boss told BBC Shropshire that he's heard nothing and he's fully focused on his job at Shrewsbury.

    The planned closure of Virgin Media's call centre in Nottingham means some jobs will move to Birmingham.

    There are currently 210 people employed in Nottingham, but it's unclear how many will transfer across the Midlands.

    Seventy staff are set to move to another site in Nottingham and 58 moving to other bases across the UK.

    Further jobs are set to move offshore.

    Police were called to the site on Coventry Road in Dunchurch at about 04:00, near the A45.

    A nurse has told a jury how a heroin addict accused of murdering his father told her he had “every intention” of killing him.

    Daryl Sampson, 29, of Broomhall Cottages, Worcester, is on trial at Birmingham Crown Court after his father, Robert Sampson (pictured), was found dead with stab wounds, in Crookbarrow Road in Norton last year.

    Nurse Sarah Horton told the jury he said “I’m glad he’s dead, he got what he deserved” and said he stabbed him in the stomach when she treated him while he was in police custody.

    Mr Sampson denies murder and the trial continues.

    A man's been charged with the murder of a woman in Hereford almost two years ago., external

    Terri Louise Webb, 39, went missing in November 2016 and was found a month later when her body was pulled from the River Wye.

    Police say they've charged a 47-year-old from Huskinson Drive with her murder and a 29-year-old from Mayberry Avenue with assisting an offender.

    Both are due to appear before magistrates tomorrow.
