Vernova Healthcare, which is owned by 22 Cheshire GP practices, took on the services withdrawn by East Cheshire NHS Trust two years ago.

But the firm says it's making a loss so needs to scale back what it does, meaning dermatology care will end in Congleton and Knutsford's local hospitals in August.

Local health bosses say they are talking to another NHS organisation about taking on the service, but the earliest that could begin is October.

Martin Boniface, who lives in Drakes Broughton, Worcestershire, was taking part last month in a matinee performance of Into the Woods at The Swan Theatre, Worcester.

During the show, he says his 25-year-old son Harry, who expresses himself by making sounds and noises, was asked to leave by a fellow theatre-goer.

The theatre says they're devastated by what's happened and would have been able to deal with it in an appropriate way had staff been made aware.

    Quote Message

I'm minded of the sign you often see on disabled toilets that will say 'please remember not all disabilities are visible', because some people use a disabled toilet for example and you can't see anything but actually they may have some disability that isn't so visible. I would love for people to be more tolerant."
