The club means a hell of a lot to me. It's given me opportunities in the Premier League and a massive push with England, not only that but I've had incredible support from the fans. For us to finish the game like that, it hurts. The club has a massive space in my heart. I've given everything. It's just a horrible feeling.

The reality is that the big, big positive revenue for football clubs is being in the Premier League because of the TV fees and the prize money. Once the parachute payments have finished we're looking at an economic loss of about £60m and potentially that could mean about 1,000 jobs going.
