    Detectives investigating a fatal crash on the outskirts of Malvern on Saturday night, are hoping more witnesses might come forward.

    A motorcyclist in his 40s died when he was involved in a collision with a Land Rover outside the Green Dragon pub on Guarlford Road at 20:30.

    West Mercia Police said a 38-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released under investigation.

    Nantwich Town says several lawnmowers worth £4,000 were taken in a burglary last night and Cheshire Police are investigating.

    The side are in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.

    Some council house tenants claim they are being "shamed" because their roofs have been repaired with "bright green" tiles.

    Householders on Dugdale Crescent, Sutton Coldfield, say it sets the council-owned homes apart from privately-owned ones.

    Birmingham City Council's made repairs to around a dozen properties on the street but some residents said they are "a bit more weird" and "totally at odds" with neighbouring houses.

    The authority says both red and green tiles have previously been used on other roofs in the area and it hasn't had any official complaints.

    Some residents have welcomed the free improvements.

    Drones are being brought in to help control a city's seagull population.

    Worcester City Council has increased it's gull-busting budget from £5,000 to £20,000 and will use the drones to map the gulls' nesting sites.

    Eggs will then be replaced with fake ones, with the idea that they nest with the sand-filled replicas, instead of laying more.

    Burger chain Byron will not be opening a restaurant in Worcester.

    They were one of the first to sign up to the new Cathedral Square development in the city.

    However, doubts were cast on that when the firm entered a company voluntary arrangement in January and warned then that a number of outlets would shut.

    Now, Byron says it's reducing its rental obligations and "as a result of this restructuring process, we regret that plans to open a Byron in Worcester will no longer go ahead."

    A contract worker at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) says news production of the Discovery will move from Solihull to Slovakia has added to uncertainty felt by temporary staff at the site.

    The administration worker, who did not want to be named, said:"The situation is quite bad as they have just let a lot of people go."

    "It is the whole environment because there has been a lot of change and a lot of restructuring."

    JLR had previously taken on extra staff, but in April it said it was not renewing the contracts of 1,000 temporary workers at the plant.

    The union Unite said it would be fighting to "protect agency staff".

    The government's flagship new benefit project merges six existing benefits into one and is being introduced gradually across the UK.

    New claimants and those who have had a change of circumstance are automatically placed on Universal Credit.

    The Unite union says thousands of people will be affected and it doesn't think they've been made fully aware of the changes.

    The Department for Work and Pensions says Universal Credit is working, and it's made improvements on how its rolled out.

    The driver of a coach and a front-seat passenger are being treated in hospital after it hit a crash barrier on the M6.

    The ambulance service says it happened at the northbound Corley services yesterday, external lunchtime and could have been "significantly worse" if the coach had overturned.

    The driver had suffered a head injury while the passenger was complaining of a chest injury.

    The service added that a total of 37 other passengers were checked over at the scene but none of them were hurt.

    The Unite union says it will press Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to protect jobs, when it moves production of its Land Rover Discovery from the West Midlands to Slovakia from next year.

    The Solihull factory, where the Discovery is manufactured, will be used to build a new generation of Range Rover models, the firm said.

    The company has warned that there may be some job losses in the UK as a result.

    The union says it's going to work with JLR in the coming months to make sure the move is as "painless as possible" and jobs and skills are retained by the firm.

    A statue of former Wolves owner Sir Jack Hayward will be unveiled later.

    The businessman and philanthropist died in January 2015, aged 91.

    A boyhood fan, he bought the club in 1990, spending £70m of his own money before selling up in 2007.

    The club says the 10ft statue of Sir Jack depicts him after thei 2003 play-off victory, a match played at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium against Sheffield Utd and which Wolves won 3-0, taking them back into the top flight for the first time in 19 years.

    "Feed the bins not the gulls" is the message for people living in Worcester as the birds are return to the city to start their breeding season.

    The city council has issued the appeal, external to shoppers, visitors and residents to make sure they dispose of food properly.

    It's part of their campaign to limit the nuisance which can be caused by urban gulls.

    The authority says the birds can scavenge food, spread their droppings and can be "very noisy".

    Former Warwickshire captain Ian Bell's admitted he struggled to get over the end of his England career.

    He's spoken after hitting two unbeaten hundreds in the Bears' fourth successive County Championship win as they beat Glamorgan by four wickets.

    Prior to this game, Bell had gone 32 Championship matches dating back to April 2016 without reaching three figures.

    But, having hit 106 not out in the first innings, he became the first Bears batsman to hit two hundreds in a match since his own previous effort against Lancashire at Old Trafford in 2004.
