Controlled explosions are being carried out , externalafter more live mortar shells were found.
Last month, a number of the shells were discovered on a building site in Chasetown, Burntwood, external (pictured) and they were destroyed at the time.
But, because the area used to be a munitions factory, police say a specialist firm's been working since then to check the site for more explosives.
They say they've found several more and those will be detonated through the course of today.

A decision on funding to widen the A500 between the M6 and Crewe is expected before the end of the year., external
That's according to Cheshire East Council which says it's added another £400,000 to its own £4.1m budget towards preparing the scheme.
The total cost of the widening work is estimated at £55m and the authority's business case has been lodged with the Department for Transport.
Turning the stretch into a dual carriageway still needs planning permission but the council says it would ease congestion and will seek those approvals this year, if funding's agreed.

Employee Simon Hillier and customer Stewart Staples died in the blaze at SP Fireworks factory in Baswich, Stafford, on 30 October 2014.
Richard Pearson, 44, of The Woodlands, Stafford, was found guilty last month of causing their deaths through gross negligence at Stafford Crown Court.

Burton Bridge, on the A511, is to have three out of four lanes shut to traffic for three months.
The crossing, built in 1863, will be strengthened and resurfaced as part of a £6.1m scheme to improve it and another bridge.

A masked man, armed with what police believe may have been a BB gun, went into the Costa Coffee on Eastern Avenue, Burton-upon-Trent.
He threatened staff before forcing them to give him money from the till and safe.
Members of the Hereford Cathedral choir are flying to Rome today ahead of their performance at the Vatican.
They've been invited to take part in a performance at the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul on 27 June, on the steps of St Peter's Basilica, in front of thousands of spectators and millions more on the TV.
It's described as being an honour for an Anglican choir and it has come about because the Pope wants to bring churches together for the festival, to celebrate common ground.

Armed police were called out to reports of a woman being threatened with a knife.
Police say they were called yesterday evening to Lane Farm Grove, Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent and found the woman was safe.
They say they searched nearby land and then another house on Bucknall New Road.
This morning, the force says a 35-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent's been arrested on suspicion of common assault and affray and is still in custody.
Doctors are appealing to people who are referred with potential cancer not to delay being seen.
