    Port Vale manager Neil Aspin says he hopes to make at least two signings before the end of the month, but is refusing to say which players he is chasing.

    Northampton's Billy Waters and the Peterborough duo of Ricky Miller and Junior Morais have been linked to a move to Vale Park.

    Aspin said he thought talks were "at the stage now where I'm expecting something to happen".

    People are being urged to park responsibly outside the Royal Stoke University Hospital, following complaints from hospital staff.

    Both West Midlands Ambulance Service and the hospital trust are making the appeal to motorists.

    The issue was highlighted on social media by the hospital staff and paramedics, who are frustrated that people are parking on the A34 near to the main access to the hospital complex.

    New Stoke City manager Gary Rowett has been doing his homework and says he's now watched footage of every single player in the squad and "a lot of previous games".

    Coventry Cathedral has been included on a list of heritage sites that tell the history of England's art, architecture and sculpture.

    The ten sites, also including the Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ives, Cornwall, and Tate Modern in London, have been chosen as part of Historic England's series - Irreplaceable: A History of England in 100 Places., external

    The sites have been selected by BBC arts editor Will Gompertz, from hundreds of public nominations.

    "The generation that fought the Second World War lost a great many of their buildings and special places. They had to rebuild and reshape their England," he said.

    The impact of the decision to move production of the Land Rover Discovery to Slovakia is "deeply concerning" the MP for Meriden said.

    Croft School in Alveston, near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire is closed after a fire.

    Fire crews were called to a tumble dryer on fire in the kitchen of the school, on Alveston Hill, shortly before 21:00.

    The school said it would be keeping parents updated.

    Ozzy Osbourne has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards.

    The singer, 69, attended the awards at the O2 in London with wife Sharon.

    The award recognises the star's almost 50-year career, including his pioneering work in the Birmingham metal band Black Sabbath and his long solo career.

    A Jaguar Land Rover worker, who's been with the company for 29 years, said he'd been through "four or five different cycles" of change with the company.

    He was speaking after the firm announced the Solihull factory will be used to build a new generation of Range Rover models as Discovery production is moved to Slovakia.

    The company has previously blamed a sharp fall in UK sales on "consumer uncertainty surrounding diesel models, Brexit and vehicle taxation".

    The worker, who didn't want to be named, said it was "wrong to blame Brexit".

    "We have to look closer to home," he said.

    Chris Fry, who works for car supply company Draexlmaier Automotive at the site blamed a "downturn in the market".

    "We've known about it since before Brexit, that this type of thing would happen", he said.

    The choir of Hereford Cathedral is rehearsing for an historic performance, when it becomes the first Anglican cathedral choir to sing at a Papal Mass since the Reformation.

    It will perform at St Peter's Basilica alongside the choir of the Sistine Chapel on 29 June.

    The choir has been invited as part of the Pope's programme to encourage church diversity.

    Workers at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) factory have been giving their reaction to news the company will move production of its Land Rover Discovery SUV to Slovakia.

    The Solihull factory, where the Discovery is manufactured, will be used to build a new generation of Range Rover models, the firm said.

    There are 1,800 agency workers in the Solihull plant, out of a workforce of 10,000, and it's thought they will bear the brunt of job losses.

    Production line worker Sergei Udolec, who's been at JLR since 2012, said the announcement was "pretty bad news".

    "It's not clear what's going to happen," he said, "I'm trying not to think about it".

    "I'm on a permanent contract, so it may not affect me".

    Engineer Matthew Thomas, who's worked for the company for three and a half years said investment into the factory to produce new range of electric vehicles could be a "positive thing."

    The West Midlands Mayor will deliver his State of the Region speech later, a year after coming to office.

    Andy Street is expected to highlight what he says is the largest increase in employment and the second biggest reduction in unemployment in any region.

    The region has also enjoyed record exports and business start-ups, he'll say, topped-off with Coventry City of Culture in 2021 and Birmingham hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2022.

    There's also likely to be an admission that more needs to be done to reduce unemployment among young people.

    Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians led armies against the Vikings and the Welsh and is believed to have died 1,100 years ago in 918.

    The new window at St Editha's Parish and Collegiate Church in Tamworth is being unveiled by Prince Edward.
