    One of the men abused by former Crewe Alexandra youth football coach Barry Bennell says he's using his experiences to help protect children.

    Gary Cliffe has told the BBC he was abused by the ex-coach hundreds of times.

    He's a detective with Staffordshire Police and says he has now re-trained as an expert in child protection and hopes to help other children in the future.

    Bennell, 64,was jailed for 31 years in February for 50 counts of child sexual abuse.

    An MP says her constituency office in Birmingham's been vandalised.

    Jess Phillips, who represents Birmingham Yardley, tweeted that it was the second time in two years, external and part of the sign above her office has been damaged.

    The news came as, at the weekend, Ms Phillips told the Cheltenham Science Festival she was threatened with violence and aggression every day.

    It's hoped more children with a rare form of cancer will be helped after the University of Birmingham appointed the country's first co-ordinator, external to support families.

    Neuroblastoma affects 100 children a year in the UK.

    What is neuroblastoma?

    • It is a rare type of cancer that mostly affects babies and young children
    • It develops from specialised nerve cells (neuroblasts) left behind from a baby's development in the womb
    • It affects about 100 children each year in the UK

    • In very rare cases children in the same family can be affected, but generally neuroblastoma does not run in families

    Drivers who ignored signs on the way to this weekend's RAF Cosford Air Show are being blamed by organisers for making traffic jams worse.

    Thousands turned out for the event which marked the Royal Air Force's centenary year and saw displays by the likes of the Red Arrows.

    But some drivers took to Twitter to say they'd been stuck in traffic for hours, external on the way to RAF Cosford and missed some of the flypasts, external.

    In response, organisers say early arrivals had been "unprecedented", causing some delays.

    They also say that they put up signs around to area for traffic but a number of drivers ignored them, used their sat-navs and "exacerbated the delays for other people".

    A rise in production of electric vehicles could be a 'silver lining' for the West Midlands, a business expert says.

    Steve McCabe, business expert at Birmingham City University, was commenting on the news JLR is moving Discovery production to Slovakia and said: "Though we are not yet sure of how many job losses there will be the agency workers that go first.

    "These are really good jobs in the industry that are hard to come by.

    "Of course, there is a silver lining to this in that Tata has said it is going to increase its production of electric cars in Solihull.

    A daughter's pleaded not guilty to the murder of her mother.

    Rocky Sargeant, 53, was discovered in Sun Street in Cheadle, Staffordshire, in March. Police said she'd died from multiple stab wounds.

    Daughter Charlene Sargeant, 24, of Sun Street, denied the murder charge.

    She's been remanded into custody and is set to go on trial in September.

    It's due to be replaced by the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital but work has been halted by the collapse of construction firm Carillion.

    Football referee Martin Atkinson has set off on a 1,700 mile charity bike ride to Russia.

    The Premier League ref is aiming to raise £60,000 for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Yorkshire Young Achievers, St David's Hospice Care in Newport and the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity.

    Atkinson was waved off from St George's Park, near Burton-upon-Trent, by England boss Gareth Southagate and is planning to reach Kaliningrad for England's final group game against Belgium on June 28.

    "He's a nutter, but we knew that anyway," Southgate said.

    "It's fantastic they are raising money for really good causes. It's going to be a gruelling adventure but we're very proud of what they are all doing."

    The car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has defended moving production of the Discovery model from Solihull to Slovakia, saying it paves the way for other models to be built in the West Midlands.

    In a statement, it said the "significant investment and technology upgrade" at Solihull and the refit of our Halewood plant for the next Evoque was "proof that we remain committed both to the UK and to transformation and growth".
