They were hunting for a stolen bike and ended up finding Class A drugs.
Police say they were searching for the item in Stafford after a burglary and got a tip-off about a house on New Street., external
Officers raided it yesterday and say they found other suspected stolen bikes, crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis, money and a lock knife.
A 19-year-old woman from Stafford was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
The force says officers also arrested a 20-year-old man from the town on suspicion of handling stolen goods and theft.

New homes built in Worcestershire could soon come with a set number of parking spaces.
The county council wants to introduce a minimum requirement as a way, it says, to stop so many cars clogging up narrow residential roads.
Today, its cabinet backed a plan for car parking standards , externalwhich would see the number of required spaces linked to the number of bedrooms.
The authority's proposal says it's not including garages as they can often be turned into accommodation or used for storage.
Environmental campaigners say the authority would do better to encourage more people to walk or cycle.

Three boys are arrested after Keelan Wilson was stabbed yards away from his home in Wolverhampton.

More than £1,000 has been raised by the Human Relief Foundation charity for the well, which is being constructed to remember Harun Jama.
The 16-year-old was a "kind, respectful and humble" teenager, said the charity.
Two people arrested in connection with the case have been released while the investigation continues, said Thames Valley Police.

More than £209,000 in compensation was paid to a director when she left her post at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, it's been confirmed.
The authority's statement of accounts for 2017-18, external shows former director of Public Health and Social Care Lesley Mountford was paid the money as compensation for "loss of office".
Her role was deleted and replaced with an Assistant Director position at the end of March this year. , external
The city council says the payment was as a result of pension and contractual obligations for continuing terms and conditions from the NHS.

A school rated "inadequate" in Sandwell is not improving fast enough, according to Ofsted.
Tameside Primary School in Wednesbury has been criticised by the education watchdog, external for a lack of progress after a visit in March.
However, during the visit, Ofsted inspectors did find improvements in some areas of teaching and in pupil behaviour overall.
The school was placed in special measures in September last year.
A £26m automotive factory has opened in Oldbury, creating about 40 new jobs.
The Spanish-owned Steel and Alloy firm manufactures components for the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Honda and Gestamp.
The Popes Lane plant will feature steel presses and a cutting line.
Built on a brownfield site previously owned by Sandwell Council, it eventually expects to support 80 jobs.

Stoke City manager Gary Rowett has told BBC Radio Stoke that he will give the players who got relegated a chance to atone for last season.
The Potters are back in the Championship after ending their 10-year spell in the top tier.
Rowett has been linked to signing his former central defender Curtis Davis from Derby and Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle.
But he says he's been encouraged by the positive feedback that he's got from some of his own players.

Twenty pairs of rare hazel dormice have been released into the wild at a secret location in Warwickshire today to help save the breed from extinction.
The reintroduction of the breeding pairs is being led by the People's Trust for Endangered Species and Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
It's the third attempt to reintroduce the creatures into the county.
The tender to construct vehicles for a new light railway in Coventry has been awarded to a Stratford-upon-Avon company.
Battery-powered driverless vehicles, will shuttle visitors between the railway station and the cultural attractions in the city centre.
The temporary version is expected to be in place by 2021, when Coventry takes on the UK City of Culture crown. A permanent version would then be installed.
The project, funded by the government's Local Growth Fund is being managed by Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick.
A prototype vehicle, capable of carrying up to 70 passengers, will be tested at the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre in Dudley before a permanent tracked route is installed across Coventry.
