Gaming addiction has been listed as a mental health condition for the first time by the World Health Organisation.
As a result, sufferers will be eligible for treatment on the NHS.

A new scheme asking people to put spare change into collection boxes, external rather than give it directly to rough sleepers is being launched in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The borough council says the money will then go to two local charities which offer support to homeless people and those with addictions.
The authority says begging in the town centre has steadily increased in the last year and it wants to tackle the issue now.
A man was trapped for an hour after his car was involved in a crash with a lorry on the M6 in Warwickshire today.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was treated for neck, back and shoulder pain before being taken to hospital after the crash close to junction 3A at 13:30.

Plans have been unveiled for a congestion charge for vehicles travelling into Birmingham city centre.
Diesel vehicles that aren't Euro 6 standard - which is most diesels pre-2015 - and most petrol vehicles that aren't Euro 4 standard, which is pre-2005 - will be charged between £6 and £10 a day.
Some lorries could be charged up to £100 a day, Birmingham City Council has announced.
The Clean Air Zone will include all vehicles within the inner ring road, including the A38.
The plans now go out to consultation for three months and are expected to be introduced next year.

New streets in Stone, Staffordshire, are going to be named after soldiers and a woman who served their country during World War One.
A housing development is being built on land off Eccleshall Road and the local town council was asked to suggest names for the roads.
They've decided six will be named after soldiers who died during the war, external - picked at random from those on the war memorial in Granville Square (pictured).
The seventh is being named in memory of Ethel Parker Jervis, who was commandant of the Sandon Red Cross Hospital and was given an OBE in recognition of her services to Belgian refugees and soldiers.
A woman hit by a car in a hit-and-run crash has died in hospital, police say., external
Noreen Akhtar was struck by the vehicle outside Cravings Cafe in Stratford Road, close to the junction of Fernley Road in Sparkhill, at about 23:30 on Saturday night.
The 38-year-old mother of three, from Banbury, was taken to hospital suffering serious head injuries, but died there on Sunday afternoon.
Det Sgt Paul Hughes said: "This is a shockingly sad incident which has taken a young mum away from her children, family and friends. I would ask the driver to do the right thing and speak to police."

Nine off-road bikes were seized and 20 people questioned by officers in a crackdown on anti-social bike gatherings , externalin Coventry yesterday.
Officers carried out the operation in Coventry's Severn Sisters industrial estate.
The majority of the scramblers, mopeds and quad bikes were stolen, police said.
Two vans used to transport the bikes were also recovered.
The 20, aged between 14 and 29, will return to a police station for questioning at a later date, once CCTV has been "fully evaluated" said West Midlands Police.
