A man has died after suffering multiple injuries at a business in Cheddleton.
Ambulances were called to LM Bateman, an agricultural machinery-maker based on Station Road at 15:45 on Wednesday, but he was confirmed dead when he arrived at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
A spokesman from the company said: "We are deeply shocked and saddened to announce that there has been a tragic fatal accident involving one of our valued employees.
"We are currently co-operating fully with the police and HSE investigation taking place.”

The fire service was first called shortly before 15:30 to reports of tyres and gas bottles on fire.
Road closures are being put in place until the fire is under control, said West Midlands Police.

Sapphire pounced on the drumstick during a family meal and she was taken to the PDSA's Stoke-on-Trent centre to have it removed.
PDSA Vet Kate Cavanagh said "there was a real risk, due to its size, that it could have led to a life-threatening blockage in her bowel".
Sapphire is fine now, but the charity warns chicken bones can cause damage if they splinter and larger bones can cause life-threatening blockages.
And it says people should be extra careful when outside grilling food like ribs, corn on the cob and drumsticks.

Creditors have backed department store chain House of Fraser's plans to close more than half its stores.
High Street landlords were unhappy with the plan as they will have to shoulder the burden of financial losses on other rents, but they were outvoted.
It's now confirmed stores in Birmingham, Leamington Spa, Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton and Worcester will close.
Rent cuts will be imposed on 10 other stores it intends to keep.
Young people are being urged to check they've had the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine before travelling this summer.
Wolverhampton City Council is warning that more than 100 cases of measles were recorded across the West Midlands since November.
The council also said that a number of outbreaks of measles have been recorded in parts of Europe.
The vaccine is available to anyone who hasn't received both doses as a child.

The firm, which runs 12 sites across the UK, claims to produce about a third of all poultry products eaten each day in the country.
CO₂ is used to stun and ultimately suffocate poultry in many slaughterhouses, as well as in packaging fresh meat.
Earlier, the Grocer reported stark warnings from the British Poultry Council (BPC) that up to 60% of poultry processing plants could be knocked out "within days" as a result of the CO₂ shortage.
In a statement, 2 Sisters said it had had to "work hard tackle the current supply challenges like all other CO₂ users".
However, it said it had "well-rehearsed business continuity plans for such situations which have been in operation since the issue arose" and supply had so far not been affected.
The report found 13 deaths were "likely" caused by "problems in the care provided to the patient".

Beer and cider makers in the West Midlands say they're keeping a close eye on an industry-wide shortage of carbon dioxide.
Seasonal manufacturing shutdowns have left the UK with only one big plant producing CO₂.
Westons Cider, based in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, says the situation for them and their keg cider is "tight but not critical" as they've been told they should get a delivery at the start of July.
While Heineken, which runs its Bulmers cider plant in Hereford, says it's "working with customers to minimise disruption" while Wolverhampton-based Marston's only says it is "aware of the situation” and hasn't revealed any details.
In Staffordshire, local firms Titanic Brewery and Lymestone Brewery say they aren't affected by the shortage at the moment,, external even with their gas pumps.
Supplies of Heineken's John Smith's Extra Smooth and Amstel kegs have been hit however.
