The reason I think this is a very important bid for us is first of all, it's about 300 jobs - whether that's in Birmingham or Coventry that would be brilliant in its own right, but more important than that it would be like a magnet that would then pull in other small businesses in the creative sector."

  13. Quarry still drawing swimmers despite deathspublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 27 June 2018

    Tom Edwards
    Reporter, BBC Hereford & Worcester

People are ignoring warning signs by swimming in an abandoned Worcestershire quarry, despite two young men drowning there five years ago.

    Signs at the quarry

Yesterday, I spotted several people going for a swim at Malvern's Gullet Quarry, near Ledbury, after they'd all had to scale fences covered in barbed wire to get access.

In July 2013, Russell O'Neill, 17, and Justas Juzenas, 22, died within a week of each other at the site.

The Malvern Hills Conservators, who own it, have urged people to avoid the quarry.
