    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport

Moeen Ali has been appointed Worcestershire captain for this summer's T20 Blast. But the 31-year-old Birmingham-born England all-rounder will only have a limited availability, because of his international commitments.

Moeen is expected to be part of the England one-day squad who face three successive T20s and three one-day internationals with India over the next fortnight.

That would rule him out of the first five of Worcestershire's 14 T20 group games when, in the absence of the injured Joe Leach, they will be skippered by current stand-in county captain Brett D'Oliveira.

The quarter-finals are the following week (23-26 August). Finals Day, again at Edgbaston, is on Saturday 15 September.
