A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital after officers were called to a disturbance at a property in Purcell Avenue on Tuesday.
A 54-year-old woman also suffered minor injuries.
The accused, a 32-year-old from Nuneaton, is charged with wounding with intent and assault. He is due at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Council leaders say they are hoping an exhibition of ceramic poppies to commemorate World War One will bring £3.7m to the economy of Stoke-on-Trent.
The flowers have returned to the city, in which thousands of them were made, after being seen by millions of visitors to a display at the Tower of London.
Tickets to the exhibition at Middleport Pottery are free of charge, external.
The poppies are on show from today until 16 September.

A 17-year-old male from Malvern, Worcestershire - believed to have been a passenger in the Golf - was found collapsed nearby with a serious head injury and later pronounced dead in hospital.
Two 14-year-old girls, also thought to be passengers, were hurt, with one suffering a broken arm.
Police said the car was left at the scene and understood the driver fled. Officers are trying to trace him.

A boy found dead after going missing at a disused Warwickshire quarry has been described as "kind, bright and loving" by his family.
Luke Murphy, 17, from Daventry, disappeared at Blue Pool, near the village of Bishops Itchington, last Thursday.
His body was recovered from the water the following day.
"He was liked by all who met him and brought happiness to everyone that knew him," said his family.
"We were proud to have called him our son."

According to the Warickshire force, they happened near Debenhams and Costa Coffee at Elliots Field Retail Park, with each involving a group of males.
A 41-year-old from Buckinghamshire was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage, a 24-year-old from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of causing harassment, and a 19-year-old, from Buckinghamshire, was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.
They have been released pending further enquiries after being questioned overnight.

It happened yesterday afternoon on the A4169 in Lightmoor, Telford, police said.
A seven-year-old girl and a boy, aged five, were taken to hospital along with a man and a woman.
Officers say the children's injuries are serious but not life-threatening.

There's good news for people living in Cheshire - what would have been the first hosepipe ban of the summer has been called off.
The temporary ban by United Utilities (UU), which supplies much of the county, was due to start in the North West on Sunday to "safeguard essential supplies".
But recent rainfall, cooler temperatures and a reduction in water usage has led to it being lifted.
