A deadline has been extended for organisations wanting to bid to run Telford's independent investigation into child sexual exploitation.
In April, councillors agreed to set up an independent, council-led inquiry after a Sunday Mirror article claimed 1,000 children may have been abused , externalin the town since the 1980s.
The authority had said it wanted the winning bidder to define how the inquiry would run and appoint an independent chair.
It hoped to have awarded the contract by the end of this month.
But now, the council says that deadline , externalwas "too optimistic" and it is extended the time frame, with bidding closing at the end of October and the contract awarded in early November.

After their summer break, MPs will be back in London on Monday facing plenty of issues, ranging from Brexit to potentially reaction to the scallop wars.
But Monday will also feature an issue raised by the Stoke-on-Trent North Labour MP, Ruth Smeeth.
She'll have the day's Ten Minute Rule Bill when she can make her case for a new bill in a speech lasting up to 10 minutes. , external
In Ms Smeeth's case, she'll be calling for a country of origin marking system for ceramics.

A hospital trust says national media reports claiming that more cases of poor care have been uncovered at its maternity service are untrue., external
The Health Service Journal has reported that at least 60 cases, including baby deaths, brain injuries and deaths of mothers, have been identified at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals (SaTH) Trust., external
But the trust says the report is "factually incorrect and untrue", saying that there are 23 cases being examined by the secretary of state, which have already been reported.
It adds that it has also reviewed 40 cases over 19 years, 23 of which had no signs of failure of care and five of which the families could not be contacted.
The remaining 12 families have been contacted to ask for permission to look into their care, the trust said.
NHS Improvement said the independent inquiry would now look into those 12.

With just days until the new school year, primary school parents across Worcestershire still don't know whether their school's lollipop person will be there or not.
Worcestershire County Council had proposed permanently getting rid of 15 school crossing patrols at schools which already have permanent crossings.

The council says it will now remove lollipop people from light-controlled pelican crossings, yet says lollipop patrols at zebra crossings can stay, but only if a community group or a school funds them.
Regular Godiva Festival goers will notice a change to the layout of the War Memorial park site, after it opened at 18:00.
The event is thought to one of the largest free festivals in Europe.
The whole site is now a fenced area, including the fairground, with three public entrances to the site from Kenilworth Road, Coat of Arms Bridge Road and along the path next to the Visitor Centre.
The changes will help site security and access to the festival over the weekend, the city council said.

The future of a "much loved" historic building in Newcastle-under-Lyme is up for discussion.
The borough council says the Guildhall, which dates back to 1713, could fulfil a variety of community uses now council services have moved to the newly built Castle House.
The building had fallen into disrepair before the council bought it and reopened it in 2008, after extensive refurbishment.
The council's running a consultation on its future until 28 September.

What's claimed to be the first floodlit cricket match in Shropshire is due to take place this evening., external
Cricket Shropshire has picked Oswestry cricket club to host the game which aims to showcase Under-19 cricket in the county.
The group says it's part of an initiative to halt the drop-off in the number of players when they reach the age of 15.
The match is due to start at 18:45 and will feature both teams in coloured kit, using pink balls.
