Police say they've arrested a man from Stoke-on-Trent just as he was about to board a flight at Manchester Airport.
Dean Willock, who is 27 and from the Hanford area, was stopped at the departure gate on Wednesday for breaching the terms of a non-molestation order and jailed yesterday for 17 weeks at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
Ch Insp Mark Barlow said: "Willock thought he was about to fly off to the sun with his family and that he would be safe, but he was sadly mistaken."
The Post Office says it's committed to reopening its branch in Tenbury Wells, two and a half months after it closed.
The town has been without a branch since 5 May, when the postmaster resigned and people living there have had to travel four miles to the nearest branch.
The Post Office said it hoped a service will be resumed as soon as possible.
A scheme to improve reading and writing among pre-school children in Stoke-on-Trent has been so successful that the government has stepped in to take over its funding from the city council.
The Little Library Van visits 42 schools in some of the city's more deprived areas as part of the Stoke Speaks Out initiative.
The scheme is also aimed at encouraging parents to use their local libraries.
Emma Davies from the scheme said it had helped create a "huge increase in footfall" at libraries in the area.
Families were told in June the Walsall hospice would be forced to close due to financial pressures.

Dante Mullings, 23, was one of three men in a car parked in Ladywood when a vehicle pulled up alongside and fired shots, West Midlands Police said.
He died at the scene, in Vincent Road West, and the other two men were injured.
Dior Jackson, 20, from Wadington Avenue in Great Barr, is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court later.
Ihsaan Bernard, 20, from Anerley Road in Kingstanding, and 23-year-old Omami Bernard-Sewell, of no fixed address, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court and were remanded in custody.
On the 20 July 1969, Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin - both American - landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on the Moon.
A few hours later, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the Moon.
About 650 million people watched the moment on television, and with others listening to coverage on the radio including Bill and June Kerney.
"My now-husband must have been Moon-struck on that night to do what he did," Mrs Kerney told PA.
"We were going from Birmingham New Street station to south Birmingham where I was living and we were listening on the radio to everything that was going on and then when we got to my bedsitter, a certain romantic person got down on one knee and proposed."
The couple have been married for 48 years and went on to rename their boat Apollo 11 in memory of the big occasion.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid is to tell public figures they should "moderate their language" as part of a greater effort to tackle extremism.
In a speech later, the Bromsgrove MP will say everyone has a "part to play" to stop the spread of poisonous ideologies.
The home secretary's words follow the publication of a poll suggesting 52% of respondents had witnessed extremism.
Mr Javid says: "I know what it's like to be told to go back to where I came from."

A police officer who helped save a man's life by taking the weight of a car on his back has won a prestigious Police Bravery Award.
PC Andrew Dear, of Warwickshire Police, was named as national winner at the awards on Thursday.
The officer, who was first on the scene of a serious crash, wedged himself under the roof of the upturned vehicle in order to help paramedics treat a trapped man.
Speaking of the incident afterwards, he said of the casualty: "Knowing what his family would probably be thinking had he not made it, knowing somebody was there with him when he was injured, trapped – that means everything.”
Home Secretary Sajid Javid said: "PC Dear’s bravery is truly extraordinary and deserves to be recognised with this award."

Four people have been charged after a man who was found stabbed to death at a Bedworth house.
Daniel Pitham, 33, from Bedworth, was found at an address in Bulkington Road in the town on 6 May.
Four people, aged between 28 and 39, have been charged with perverting the course of justice, with one facing a charge of assisting an offender.
Scott Warner, 35, of Missing Oak Close, and John Robert Allison, 33, of Bulkington Road, both in Bedworth, denied his murder at Warwick Crown Court in June and are due to stand trial next year.
