    Levels on the River Avon at Evesham are expected to peak through the morning, said the Environment Agency.

    River levels are set to remain high throughout the week, it added.

    A Black Country teenager who was banned from performing in full drag at his school last year is hoping his appearance on a BBC television show will help inspire others who are struggling to be accepted.

    Last year, Castle High School and Visual Arts College in Dudley told Lewis Bailey his act was not permitted, saying it felt the performance was not "appropriate".

    Speaking in the programme, Lewis said: "Drag is amazing for me. All the negativity just disappears. I'm on that stage in front of people. It makes me feel like I'm wanted in the world.

    The episode from the My Life series will be broadcast on CBBC at 17:30 later and available to view on the BBC iPlayer.

    A mother who has been fighting for access to cannabis-based drugs has called new guidelines from the drugs advisory body NICE a "disgrace".

    Two cannabis-based medicines, used to treat epilepsy and multiple sclerosis, have been approved for use by the NHS in England.

    Hannah Deacon, the mother of Alfie Dingley, from Kenilworth, petitioned the government in March after she found his condition improved when he was given a cannabis-based medication in the Netherlands, where it is legal.

    She said the two new drugs were "good news" for some, but that the guidance "did not go far enough".

    "There's thousands of children up and down this country with severe epilepsy who will have no access at all, which is utterly disgraceful."

    The main bridge in Worcester is to be partially closed to allow flood debris to be removed.

    The bridge will be closed eastbound, towards the city, and a lane restriction will be in place westbound, towards St Johns, from 09:30.

    The work was postponed from last week because the water levels were too high.

    Investigations are continuing after a man and a woman were found dead at a flat in Moseley, Birmingham.

    The pair, both 28 and known to each other, were found at the Oxford Road property, where one of them lived, on Saturday afternoon.

    Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
