The collision happened on the northbound side just before 09:00 between J9 and J10, near Walsall, the ambulance service said. , external
The woman had suffered several serious injuries and died at the scene.
Two lorry drivers, who were checked over, were discharged at the scene.
The northbound side of the M6 has been shut at J9 for about five hours.

Long delays around the M6 in Walsall are hampering drivers having to divert off the motorway after a multi-vehicle crash earlier today.
Highways England said its staff were working hard, external to get the route reopened, but all the traffic having to come off the carriageway at J9 is causing "considerable" delays.

Tabor House, which provides accommodation for homeless people, said it was preparing to reopen its doors today.
Based in Digbeth, it has transformed its open plan living area into Perspex "pods", with capacity reduced from 11 beds to eight to allow for social distancing.
Guests are being split into those who work and those who don’t, with new cleaning regimes and phased communal meals introduced.
The facility’s opening hours have also been extended so that guests can remain at Tabor House all day, rather than leaving every morning and returning in the evening.
Christy Acton, from Tabor House, was part of a team brought together to support more than 50 rough sleepers during an 11-week lockdown period, as part of the “everyone in” policy, which saw hundreds of rough sleepers moved off the streets and into hotels, hostels and temporary accommodation.
"At the start of lockdown, quick action had to be taken to ensure that the city’s rough sleepers were provided with safe accommodation to aid self-isolation," she said.
"Since March, we have seen five Tabor House residents moved into their own accommodation, as well as a further 30 across the community.”

The emergency services were called to the motorway between J9 and J10 just after 09:00 and said two lorries and a car were involved.

The new coronavirus travel rule was announced on Saturday evening following a spike in the number of new cases in Spain this week.
Fran Thomas, from Ledbury, Herefordshire, is currently on holiday with her family in the Balearic Island of Majorca and is due home tomorrow.
"I completely accept we took a risk, we came on holiday during a pandemic, I completely understand that, I accept it."
But she added: "They've had very few cases here compared with other areas of mainline Spain so it seems very unfair they've included the Balearics and the Canary Islands."
Two men have been arrested after reports of gun-shots in Birmingham.

The number of positive coronavirus cases at a caravan park site in Shropshire is expected to rise, health expects have warned.
