    Warwickshire's Chief Constable, Martin Jelley, has announced, external he is going to retire in June after six years in the role.

    He has been serving as a police officer for 33 years and said: "If I was starting over, aged 21 I would not hesitate to become a police officer again."

    The hospital which treated the injured Worcester player Michael Fatialofa has said it is "looking to continue supporting him in his new life back home".

    But the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital has not responded to comments made by Worcester Warriors, external that it has tried to claim additional fees for the treatment it had provided.

    Fatialofa, who was treated in intensive care and a specialist unit after suffering a serious spinal injury in a game last January, tweeted , externalhe hoped Warriors would "finally" pay his hospital bill this year.

    In response the club said it "has already paid the fees it was responsible for – running into tens of thousands of pounds – which was over and above the club’s obligations and insurances."

    "Neither the club nor Michael are responsible for any additional fees," the club statement said.

    Shropshire's two councils have spent nearly £200,000 on sending letters to local residents during the pandemic.

    The letters outline the support available to businesses and residents.

    Shropshire Council sent out letters to all households for the first time last month and has spent £55,000.

    While Telford and Wrekin has sent four letters since the start of the pandemic and has spent £139,000.

    Wasps forward Brad Shields said his experience had helped him cope with the disappointment of being left out of the England squad for rugby union's Six Nations.

    Over the next 10 years £100m will be spent to build 2,500 council homes in Herefordshire.

    All of the building will be on land owned by Herefordshire Council, including land next to Hereford Football Club.

    Three men who drove all the way from Kensington in London to south Shropshire, claiming they wanted to take photos of the views, have been fined.

    West Mercia Police stopped them in Little Stretton. They had no photos to show for their trip because their phone batteries had died, officers said.

    Commonwealth Games Federation chief executive David Grevemberg is to leave his post, less than 18 months before the Birmingham 2022 Games.

    American Grevemberg, who will officially leave in March, has spent six years in charge, having previously been head of the Glasgow 2014 Games.

    "I feel that now is the right moment to pass the baton," said Grevemberg.

    He added that Birmingham was "tracking positively" and would be "another milestone event for the movement".

    Worcester Warriors have restated their commitment to Michael Fatialofa - after the injured lock posted on social media about outstanding medical fees.

    Fatialofa, who was treated in intensive care and a specialist unit after suffering a serious spinal injury in a game last January, tweeted , externalthat he hoped Warriors would "finally" pay his hospital bill this year.

    The club said it was "disappointed and surprised" by the tweet, as it had already paid the tens of thousands of pounds of fees for which it was responsible, and had continued to support his rehabilitation even after his contract had ended.

    Warriors say they "care deeply" about Fatialofa, and are imploring him to get in touch.
