This was the scene at the University of Warwick on Saturday where a car went into a hall of residence.
Police, called to the site following the crash in which no one was hurt, suggested the incident put a new spin on parents' journeys.
"Probably one of the more embarrassing ways to drop your child off for their first day of university by literally driving into their halls of residence," the Warwickshire force said.

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez scored his first goal since suffering a life-threatening head injury as they beat Southampton 1-0.
He shrugged off the attentions of two Southampton defenders before finishing calmly past Alex McCarthy for his first goal in 336 days.
The Mexican sustained a skull fracture against Arsenal in November 2020.
After a long road to recovery, and now sporting a protective skull cap, Jimenez is back among the scorers once again.
Symbolically, Jimenez briefly removed his cap after scoring as he was mobbed by his team-mates and received the adoration of the travelling supporters.
"It felt really good," he said afterwards. "I was fighting for it, working for it and I knew it was coming.
"I want to score in every game and all the team deserve it."
Wolves boss Bruno Lage added: "The goal means a lot to Raul. He is a top player and he needs confidence."

The manager of a petrol station in Worcestershire says his staff have been working "flat out" to serve customers who have queued to fill up.
Kevin Hughes of Chaddesley Fuel Station in Kidderminster said queuing traffic had sometimes reached a quarter of a mile long.
The independent garage introduced longer hours on Saturday and prioritised NHS workers, Mr Hughes added.
