    A man arrested in connection with the death of a 22-year-old Gloucester woman has had his bail extended.

    Hayley Khurana died at her home in Hopewell Street in the city on 8 February.

    A 26-year-old man from London was arrested later that day on suspicion of murder.

    His bail has been extended to 28 April while police continue with their enquiries.

    Officers are still appealing for information about Hayley's whereabouts in the 24 hours before her death.

    Bristol Rovers Football Club have donated food to a drop-in center for those facing homelessness or extreme need.

    The food was intended for the club's match against Wigan Athletic last night, but a frozen pitch meant the game was postponed.

    The donation - taken to the Wild Goose Café in Bristol - included 40kg of prepared potatoes, cauliflowers, broccoli, parsnips, red cabbage, parsnips and cheese.

    Andy Kinnersly from Wild Goose Cafe said he was "overwhelmed by the generosity of the boys".

    The 2018 Stroud Fringe Festival is not going to happen, organisers have announced.

    They said the "huge cost" of crowd safety has pushed the cost to about £100,000, and one of its major sponsors has pulled out.

    Last August a record 25,000 people attended the annual three-day festival of music, theatre and performing arts.

    One of the festival's directors, Lottie Lyster, says it has become incredibly popular.

    One of two strip clubs in Bristol city centre has had its sexual entertainment venue (SEV) licence approved, despite police withdrawing their support.

    Urban Tiger had its SEV licence renewed until September after councillors found "there was insufficient reason not to grant", a Bristol City Council spokeswoman said.

    Sarah, a dancer at Urban Tiger, said she and her colleagues were "extremely happy" that "common sense prevailed".

    A decision whether to renew the SEV licence for the Central Chambers strip club takes place tomorrow.

    Housing association Curo has announced it's no longer aiming to redevelop the Foxhill housing estate in Bath.

    The company said it will instead focus on refurbishing the existing social housing.

    The project was first put forward in 2013 and met with fierce opposition from some local residents and politicians.

    Curo said that recent legal action by some residents had caused further delays to the plans and it no longer believed it could win the "necessary consensus to deliver a truly community-owned, successful project".

    Here's a nice story to warm you up in the bitter cold.

    Yesterday, Derbyshire police released images from a camera found in Derby - on it were family christening photos.

    The police were hoping that putting the photos online would help track the owner, external of the camera down.

    Less than 24 hours after the images were released, the owner has been found 165 miles away in Somerset - and he didn't even know it was missing.

    David Trotham of Woolavington, Somerset, said: “It really is a remarkable story, I had loaned the camera to one of my sons who is taking a zoology degree at the University of Derby... he had a fall on his bike last week and we think the camera must have fallen out if his back-pack."

    He continued: “I would really like to thank the person who handed it in, the Derbyshire police for making the effort to find me and the people who took the time to help through social media."

    North Bristol NHS Trust have appealed for 4x4 owners to volunteer, external to bring hospital staff to and from work tomorrow during the predicted snow.

    The majority of trips will be in and around the Bristol/South Gloucestershire area.

    If you can help, contact the trust's transport department on 0771 736 1042.

    Any fuel costs incurred will be reimbursed, it adds.

    Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted in Taunton last Friday.

    The 23-year-old was attacked at about 6:30pm on Friday in Sainsbury's car park, on Hankridge Retail Park.

    The man in the e-fit was seen standing near a large silver van.

    He's described as white, between 50 and 60 years old, 5ft 8ins, of average build, with short, light brown hair. He was clean-shaven and wearing a black jumper, black trousers and gloves.

    An Avon and Somerset police spokesman urged drivers using the car park around the time of the incident to check their dash-cams to see if they captured the van or the offender.

    Bath's link with the book, Frankenstein, has been celebrated with the unveiling of a plaque.

    Author Mary Shelley, then a teenager by the name of Mary Godwin, wrote much of the book while staying in lodgings in the city, after eloping with Percy Shelley.

    The plaque has been put up where the lodgings once stood, outside the Pump Rooms and Roman Baths, to mark the 200th anniversary of the book's publication.

    A man who burgled the home of a 96-year-old Royal Navy veteran is to stand trial for attempted murder.

    Joseph Isaacs denies trying to kill Jim Booth with a hammer in Taunton in November.

    Appearing via video link at Taunton Crown Court, Isaacs pleaded not guilty to murder but admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a charge of aggravated burglary.

    Isaacs also admitted seven counts of fraud related to him using Mr Booth's bank card.

    He was remanded in custody until his trial on 21 May, which is expected to last three days.
