Read MoreTwo park and ride sites in Taunton threatened with closure have been given a six month reprieve as the local council allocated £135,000 to keep them going.
The Gateway (above) and Silk Mills sites were threatened with closure in September 2018 because of funding concerns. The council at the time stepped in to keep them going for a further 12 months.
Councillor Mike Rigby from Somerset West & Taunton Council said useage had risen by just 2% in the last 12 months, and that he wasn't averse to a subsidy if it meant the service could continue.

Two out of a group of three rare and personal family drawings by Queen Victoria have sold at auction today.
A watercolour of Edward, Prince of Wales, and his brother Prince Alfred, painted in about 1850 was sold for £4,560. It was originally given by Queen Victoria to a governess to the royal children.
A second pencil drawing showing the queen's daughter, Victoria, the Princess Royal as a water nymph faild to sell, while the third watercolour of Queen Victoria's grandson Prince Friedrich as a baby holding a rattle made £1,740.
Experts say the majority of the monarch's drawings are in albums in the Royal Collection and family drawings such as these are rarely seen for sale.
Quote MessageWe were pleased with the prices of the two watercolours but a bit surprised that the pencil drawing of Victoria, the Princess Royal, did not reach its reserve of £2000. While watercolours tend to be more expensive that pencil drawings this one shows great charm and artistic skill and would have been my personal pick of the three

People in a Somerset village have protested against the proposed closure of its fire station.
Protesters gathered at Porlock village hall as Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service held a public consultation into the idea.
Porlock is one of eight fire stations across Devon and Somerset under threat.
A petition against the closure has attracted more than 3,500 signatures.
The proposals could also include some fire engines being removed from other stations like Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil.
Officials say they need to modernise the service for the 21st Century.

A specialist dementia ward in Yeovil will close permanently, it has been announced.
The decision comes after it was agreed to expand community-based support for patients.
The Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust chose to temporarily close the Magnolia ward within Summerlands Hospital in July 2017, citing concerns over staffing levels and recruitment of mental health nurses.
The Intensive Dementia Support Service (IDSS) was created around the same time to urgently assess dementia patients and enable them to receive more support and care in their homes, rather than being admitted to hospital.
Now, the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) – which decides how health resources are allocated – has voted to make the Magnolia closure permanent, in favour of expanding the IDSS across the county.
The CCG’s governing body voted unanimously to make the closure permanent when it met in Bridgwater this morning.

It's looking red hot in Weston-super-Mare at the moment, with many families taking advantage of the sunny weather.
There's no sign of Nick Grimshaw and Greg James from Radio 1, though, who hid in the town yesterday.
The pair, who were taking part in a national hide-and-seek contest, were eventually discovered on the town's Grand Pier.
And the Watkins family look like they're very much enjoying the weather.
Have fun!
