He told me about 20 people had to be evacuated from their caravans at about 12:00, when fire took hold in outbuildings and a stable block.

No-one was hurt and holidaymakers were moved for a couple of hours as a precaution, as the buildings contained gas cylinders.

Mr Stanford told me his outbuildings had been completely destroyed by the blaze.

"There must have been about 10 engines here at its height," he said. "But most of them have gone and they're just damping down now."

  15. Cycle paths not a 'one size fits all' solution for riderspublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 12 September 2016

    Sue Dougan
    BBC Local Live

Have you seen it yet? A video of a car driver undertaking a group of cyclists on a cycle path near Cottenham has been viewed more than one million times.

It attracted comments asking why so many cyclists use roads rather than dedicated cycle paths.

Many riders have responded saying the paths just aren't good enough.

Michael Hutchinson, a former British and Irish cycling champion who lives near Cambridge, said one of the problems with cycle paths is there are "different types of cyclists".

These include people going to school and at the other end, a cycling club out for a training run and riding quickly.

"There's not a one-size-fits-all, are the paths OK argument," he said.

"Cyclists will often ride in the road in preference to some paths because they genuinely don't feel safe to use them, and for others to have to share with them."
