    People who fell victim to a multi-million pound advertising scam, masterminded by a Warwickshire businessman, are to be awarded compensation.

    Jonathan Rivers, 55, from Coleshill was jailed in October last year for heading up Wyvern Media group, based in Derby, which pressured firms into buying worthless advertising space.

    Nine directors have now been ordered to pay more than £160,000 in compensation to their 45 victims as part of £1.6m confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

    The remaining money will be paid to the government, the courts and Trading Standards for further criminal investigations.
