  2. Morning headlines: 1,500 still without power and hospital running on generatorpublished at 06:41

    Here are the latest headlines:

    • About 1,500 are still without power this morning, the majority of them in Carlisle
    • The Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle is still running on a generator, and non-emergency procedures are cancelled at both the Infirmary and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven
    • At least 27 roads are closed in Cumbriaincluding a section of the A69, many more are only passable with care, and more than 100 bridges need immediate inspection
    • A fund set up to raise money for those who've been affected by the flooding has now reached more than £374,000

    It will be generally dry, with some good spells of sunshine.

    However some heavy showers are likely to develop at times.

    It will also be rather windy, with gales likely in coastal parts such as the area around Barrow-in-Furness, and over exposed hills. Maximum temperature: 11C (52F).
