The road is just passable on the A5093 between the Millom junction and the Kirksanton junction because of flooding.
Here's an updated weather forecast for the rest of Wednesday, with "persistent rain" expected to continue across much of northern England.
Electricity North West say that says up to 2,500 properties were without power in Cumbria this morning however there are now only 102 which remain without electricity.

Cumbria Police say a multi-agency meeting has been held in Cumbria to assess the impact of Storm Frank. They say Storm Frank has brought less disruption than expected but the situation is still being closely monitored.
There is also currently an operation ongoing in Braithwaite to prevent flooding from the stream in the village, led by the Environment Agency and supported by the Army.
The Army are on their way to Braithwaite to help the Environment Agency, Cumbria Police and local residents strengthen their flood defences.
Chris Shaw, from Grasmere, says the river has burst its banks in Grasmere and properties at Stock Lane are flooding again.

The road is closed in both directions near the School Lane junction.

People at risk can register with the operator to receive different kinds of help, including home visits and "welfare packs" containing items such as blankets, torches and flasks.
Extra generators can be provided for people who need electricity to power medical equipment.
Emergency Services from around the country are working tirelessly to assist in flooded areas and have paid tribute to the spirit of those affected.

National Rail says flooding and a landslip near Lockerbie are causing disruption to journeys between Glasgow Central and Carlisle. This is expected to continue until approximately 12:00.
Road transport is being arranged but there is no estimate as to when it will be available.
First TransPennine Express services may be cancelled or delayed.
Trains between Carlisle and Edinburgh are also unable to run because of overhead wire problems at Curriehill.
