The Brexit Party has donated to a man's fundraiser after he got a tattoo on his thigh of Nigel Farage having a milkshake thrown at him.

Matthew Haddon-Reichardt, from Nottingham, said he wanted to make people laugh and raise money for charity Rethink Mental Illness.

The ink art references the moment Mr Farage was attacked with a milkshake while canvassing in May.

Mr Haddon-Reichardt, 41, who voted Remain, said: "Running a marathon isn't an option for me and shaving my head is no good because I have no hair. So a ridiculous tattoo was the idea.

"Brexit has just taken over our country, and Farage is the centre of Brexit, so it felt like he was an obvious choice."

He added the tattoo was not designed to glorify the milkshake attack on Mr Farage, which he did not agree with.

A spokesman for The Brexit Party said Mr Farage "smiled" when he saw the tattoo and the party wished Mr Haddon-Reichardt all the best with his fundraising efforts.
