Fourteen ponies caused a stir in Kinoulton, Nottinghamshire this morning when they escaped from a field and went for a wander around the village.
They also made their way into the car park at the Nevile Arms pub just after 11:00.
"They were having a great time," said landlady Trish Conway.
"They were chomping on people's lawns, looking through people's living room windows, trotting around the car park."
Ms Conway said the ponies came down Owthorpe Lane and Main Street and into the car park before residents and police managed to round them up in a nearby cul-de-sac.
"They went past the window and I thought, 'That's nice, they're moving from one field to another', but then I realised there was nobody with them so I jumped up and ran outside," she added.
Nottinghamshire Police said the owner was found and the ponies were walked back to their field in nearby Hickling.
