    Severn Trent Water said they have had reports of 700 homes without water this morning after a pipe burst in Derbyshire.

    Traffic website Inrix reports the pipe burst in Bullbridge Hill near Ambergate.

    The water company said customers in Alfreton, Belper, Ilkeston and Ripley are among those in "a very large area" currently affected, adding it's sending workers "as quickly as possible to assess the situation".

    Pre-school childcare providers in Nottingham are being encouraged to stay open for key workers over the Easter holidays.

    The city council says it will put £90,000 towards keeping private provision for children aged between two and four open over the break.

    Nottinghamshire County Council previously pledged cash to keep county schools running through the two-week period for children of key workers.

    A motorist who was driving at more than 100mph reportedly told police he was heading to London to look for cheaper bread.

    Leicestershire Police said the man, who was driving from Nottingham, was stopped by officers on the M1 on Sunday evening and is now set to appear in court.
