His family said they have "lost a very special person", who only became a father seven weeks ago.
Derbyshire Police is appealing for any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to get in touch.
Quote MessageAnyone who had the pleasure of knowing Brad will understand how devastated we all are. He was the kindest, most loving person, who could light up a room with his energy and smile and his contagious laugh. He had a massive character, full of life, charming and funny."

Five staff at a Covid testing centre in Leicestershire have been sacked after "poor behaviour".
The Local Democracy Reporting Service understands the employees, who worked at the Narborough testing centre, were fired after an incident on site.
It is believed a complaint from a member of the public prompted an investigation resulting in the disciplinary action at the site, run by G4S.
G4S said the behaviour of the staff "fell well below the high standards we expect".

A woman has said her "heart was thumping" after a swan crashed through the double-glazed bathroom window of her chalet home.
Jean Wilkinson had been standing by the sink under the window moments before the bird smashed through the home in Barton in Fabis, Nottinghamshire, on 11 January.
The 78-year-old said she had sat down with a cup of coffee and some toast with marmalade when she heard an "almighty" noise.
"I've never heard such a loud noise in my whole life - it was shattering," she said.
"It was just so loud and obviously my heart was thumping.
"I was scared to go and look."
She first checked the bedrooms but when she didn't find anything unusual, she went to look in the bathroom.
Ms Wilkinson said: "I could see glass on the floor... I thought my shower screen had shattered.
"As I pushed the door open further I could see the swan on the floor and blood everywhere.
"The swan was just sort of looking at me with its head up and the window shattered."
Ms Wilkinson then contacted her neighbours who helped with the clean-up and reported it to the RSPCA.
Keith Ellis, the RSPCA inspector that attended and collected the swan, said he had never seen anything like it in his 40-year career.
Ms Wilkinson said she felt "lucky" not to have been hurt herself.
"I had been in the bathroom, standing right by the sink which is under the window so I was quite lucky really," she added.
