A police officer has returned to work nearly six months after he was knocked off his bicycle by a car on his way home from a shift.
Leicestershire Police said PC Steve Clarke was seriously injured in the crash near the Foxhunter roundabout in Enderby on 25 July.
The force said at the time, the car involved was reported to have left the scene of the collision.
PC Clarke, based at Hinckley Road police station, said it was "fantastic" to return to work.
Sgt Anil Mehta said: "I am genuinely overjoyed Steve has returned to light duties.
"I have seen Steve at every stage since the collision and am in awe at the way he has fought to overcome what happened to him that day."
Four people were arrested over the crash.
Police said a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop in relation to the incident and released under investigation.
In addition, a man in his 20s was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender and also released under investigation.
Meanwhile, a man and a woman previously arrested have been released with no further action.
Police do not believe PC Clarke was targeted, the force added.

Only a fraction of a £100m fund to support zoos through the pandemic has been successfully claimed, the industry has warned, as the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) announced a four-week extension for applications.
The fund opened in August to support zoos and aquariums needing extra support to care for animals following a drop of income caused by lockdowns.
Only 28 zoos out of more than 300 licence holders in England have benefitted from the fund, with just 5% of the money handed out, according to the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA).
It said zoos and aquariums cannot get money from the fund until they are down to 12 weeks of reserves, which excludes the vast majority of organisations who care for animals.
Dr Sharon Redrobe, chief executive of Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire, said they've "lost millions of pounds in income", adding the Zoo Animals Fund "has failed" to provide support.
Animal Welfare Minister Lord Goldsmith said he recognises the "extremely tough time" zoos have faced, and said the government is "committed to ensuring the sector can deliver the best possible care for its animals".

A paramedic who died of Covid-19 will receive a send-off from his beloved Nottingham Forest ahead of tonight's match with Middlesbrough at the City Ground.
Tony Chadbourne - known as Chad - had worked in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Divisions for 23 years, but died from the illness shortly before Christmas.
The 46-year-old was a lifelong supporter of the club - first attending a match back in 1980, the year they successfully defended their European Cup title - and worked many times as a matchday paramedic, including Forest's 2007 League Cup tie with Leicester where he helped save the life of Clive Clarke after he collapsed in the dressing room.
Forest's first-team squad will wear warm-up T-shirts featuring Tony, with a tribute also featuring in the matchday programme and a minute's applause set to take place before kick-off.

A man has suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a group of masked men in Nottingham.
It happened on Kelso Gardens, The Meadows, just before 22:00 yesterday.
Police said the attackers used "bladed weapons" to inflict the injuries including a deep cut to the man's leg and a slash wound to his hand.
The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but are potentially life-altering, police said.
Det Sgt Nick Wood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We believe this was an isolated attack, with no wider risk to the public, however we have increased visible patrols in the local area and we'd urge anyone who has any concerns to speak to one of our officers."
The force is also appealing for information from members of the public who may have seen those responsible.

Measures are being taken to stop homes and businesses from flooding.

We've had an amber weather warning in place from the Met Office since Tuesday and some might be wondering why.
There has been some disruption, but so far we've not seen lots of flooding.
The warnings are there for a reason. The latest data we have shows a third of the average rainfall we would expect for all of January in Nottinghamshire has fallen in the last 48 hours.
This has fallen on already saturated ground with high river levels.
And we are expecting more.
The Environment Agency is warning the impact will be felt here in the East Midlands between Wednesday and Friday.
If that comes then we will need to be prepared. And that's why we have weather warnings.
The vaccines will be offered to existing high-priority groups and hospital staff on night shifts.

Proposed cuts to jobs and services at Nottingham City Council will "directly impact some of the most disadvantaged communities and citizens" in the city, a union has said.
On Tuesday the council announced proposals to make £15.6m in cuts, which includes the loss of 272 full-time jobs - 80 of which are vacancies.
The council lost £38m after having to sell its energy company Robin Hood Energy, which collapsed last year.
The authority, which is also proposing a rise in council tax, said the coronavirus pandemic and long-term government cuts had also hit finances.
A Unison spokesman said: "The proposed cuts will directly impact some of the most disadvantaged communities and citizens in Nottingham, such as the closure of children's centres, leisure facilities and a 20% overall reduction in community protection officers."
The union has asked the council to investigate "further use of its reserve and borrowing powers" to prevent the cuts.
Council leader David Mellen said despite the financial "challenges", the authority remains "ambitious for Nottingham and for all who live and work here".
The final budget proposals will be voted on in March.

A retired GP and his daughter are among several volunteers who are vaccinating people from Nottinghamshire against Covid-19.
Dr Andrew Parkin, from Newark, responded to the call for retired medics to help out.
His daughter Emily Wong, a practice nurse, is vaccinating people on her days off.
Dr Parkin, who is vaccinating people in Newark, said the response from people receiving the vaccine was "absolutely amazing".
He said: "I thought this was an amazingly important thing which I could make a small but positive contribution to."
Ms Wong, who is vaccinating people in Gainsborough, said: "It's just lovely to be able to play a tiny part in what seems to be a quite successful roll-out of the vaccine."
She is expecting to join her father at the Newark vaccinations hub next week.
The nurse and mother added she had seen "quite a few people crying" with joy after receiving the vaccine.
Dr Parkin said some patients were even getting dressed up for the occasion.
"I had a lady last night who had a very chic white jacket on, and when we took the sleeve out of her jacket, she had a strapless ball gown underneath," he said.
Two weather warnings have been issued as Storm Christoph continues to hit parts of the UK.
An amber warning for rain is in place between 06:00 today and 12:00 tomorrow, and a yellow warning for rain is in place between 00:00 today and 12:00 tomorrow.
Flooding is expected across the region, with several warnings in place.
In Nottinghamshire 18 flood alerts have been issued, which means flooding is possible.
There is one flood warning in place at Zouch, on the Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire/Derbyshire border.

Derbyshire has three flood warnings and 32 flood alerts.
